With interactive art exhibits, an immersive VR experience, a photojournalism showcase, and the Lambda Pi Eta induction ceremony, this was a night to be remembered!

The Vanguard University Film Festival and Communication Awards Gala is an annual end-of-year event celebrating the achievements of all Communication majors.

The film festival is a showcase of the best student film projects produced that academic year. Films are nominated for awards in a variety of categories, including an Audience Choice Award, voted for by the live audience!

The Awards Gala is an Oscars-style awards show where awards are bestowed for excellence in writing (Media Criticism and Communication Theory), small group communication projects, journalism, photography, public relations, filmmaking, screenwriting and overall scholarship.

Each year, the events share a theme that is interpreted through the selection of films as well as the design and promotion of the gala event. The 2017 theme is Inconsistent Realities.
